π About the Lighthouse
Point Arena Lighthouse stands on a narrow coastal peninsula about two miles north of the town of Point Arena.
The current concrete tower was completed after the original lighthouse was damaged in the 1906 San Francisco earthquake. Today, the light station includes the historic tower, an indoor museum, a store, bluff-top walking areas, native gardens, and a 23-acre outdoor museum overlooking the Pacific Ocean.
