Kerry Park is a small Queen Anne viewpoint with one of Seattleβs most recognizable skyline panoramas.
From the overlook, visitors can see the Space Needle, downtown Seattle, Elliott Bay, andβwhen skies are clearβMount Rainier rising behind the city.
This is a quick sightseeing and photography stop rather than a hike. The main viewpoint is only a short walk from the street.

Sunset and blue hour provide the most dramatic city light, but they also bring the largest crowds.
For a quieter visit:

- Visit on a weekday

- Bring a zoom lens to compress Mount Rainier behind the skyline
Mount Rainier is not always visible, even when the Seattle sky appears partly clear.

The viewpoint is located at:

There is no dedicated parking lot. Limited street parking is available in the surrounding residential neighborhood.
- Follow posted parking restrictions
- Do not block driveways
- Expect difficult parking around sunset
- Public transit, rideshare, or walking from Queen Anne Avenue may be easier
The primary overlook is paved, but the neighborhood around Queen Anne Hill includes steep streets and sidewalks.
π³ Lower Kerry Park
A stairway and path connect the overlook with Bayview-Kinnear Park below.
The lower park includes a play area and additional green space, but the stairs are steep and are not necessary for the main skyline view.

Kerry Park is currently listed as open daily from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.
- Stay behind the viewpoint railing
- Keep children supervised near the street and overlook
- Expect slippery pavement and stairs during rain or ice
- Keep noise low in the residential neighborhood
- Do not leave valuables visible inside parked vehicles
- Avoid standing in the street for photographs
